The "Advanced Participation" training focuses on deepening knowledge and skills for participation councils, with a focus on advanced aspects of team development, differences between participation and student representation, stakeholders, and building trust.

Participants learn about the legal basis, formal decision-making authority, and rights of participation, in contrast to the informal power of student representation. They explore the importance of various stakeholders, such as boards, staff, and students, and understand how these interests relate to timelines and challenges.

The training provides practical insights into relationship management, including strategies for building trust and dealing with different personalities, even in the face of conflicting interests. Participants learn how to communicate effectively, form coalitions, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Based on the principles of good participation, such as diversity, democratic mandate, engagement, and equality, participants explore practical examples and analyze their own situations. The training provides tools to implement these principles in practice and address challenges, enabling participation councils to function more effectively and play a valuable role within their organizations.
