This training is for councils that are already making progress but continuously encounter a situation where the administrator manages to talk their way out of every situation. In this training, we first examine the different communication styles between the administrator and the council. This includes looking at the level of cooperation and assertiveness, as well as the amount of space given to each other. Then, we explore the various undercurrents in your discussions and address the "sabotage line" principle (from deep democracy).

Depending on your preferences, the training may include one or both of the following components:

Component A: In participation, it's often about the stakes, but a true administrator is also a master of the game. With their bag of tricks, they manipulate every conversation partner, including you as a participation council. But how do you recognize it? And more importantly, what do you do about it? Think of things like "Great idea, but we've been doing it this way for years!" Using various cases, we examine the different tricks of your administrator and practice how to deal with them as a council member.

Component B: Effective collaboration between participation bodies and administrators requires effective dialogue. Improved dialogue skills promote constructive interaction and increase the yield of meetings. Strategic planning and meeting tactics maximize results. Utilizing dialogue as a negotiating moment promotes solution-oriented thinking in the interest of all stakeholders. Sharp questions, followed by focused follow-up, provide clear answers. Through thorough preparation and ongoing practice, council members can improve their skills and contribute to effective dialogue and decision-making. This training will help you in this regard.
