As a council member, you need not only knowledge but also skills. In this training, we focus on some essential council skills that every council member needs to effectively represent the constituency.
Participants are equipped with negotiation skills based on the proven methods of Harvard, including exploring BATNA and practical exercises to strengthen negotiations.
Additionally, we focus on the art of writing consent and advisory letters, delving deeply into structure and strategies to effectively convey arguments and convincingly advocate for the interests of students and staff.
Our training also provides valuable insights into critically reading policy documents, including practical tips such as using an executive summary, to help participants grasp the essence and be better prepared for discussions and negotiations.
Furthermore, participants learn how to effectively probe and handle vague or unsatisfactory answers from administrators, and become adept at recognizing and countering debate tactics during meetings.
Our training is designed to equip participants with practical skills, including sharp questioning, summarizing, paraphrasing, and responding to administrators' responses.
