The module begins by identifying the objectives of communication with the constituency and defining exactly who the constituency is. It covers various communication channels and when they are best utilized.

The focus is not on creating PR materials but on exploring the different forms of contact with the constituency and the available tools. Participants are encouraged to actively engage in a discussion about which communication channels they want to employ. The goal is to collaboratively develop a communication plan that can then be further elaborated within their own Council.

The training addresses four tracks of contact with the constituency: sending information, receiving information, engaging supporters, and elections. Concrete communication tools are discussed, and there is room for sharing best practices from other councils.

Additionally, attention is given to the diversity within the constituency and the varied information needs of different groups. The importance of setting clear communication goals is emphasized, as well as the importance of maintaining contact with the 'silent students', who often only show interest when there are problems. Finally, the module delves into organizing elections, covering both individual and party systems and discussing strategies for recruiting candidates.
